Togolese Minister for Investment Promotion Visits EBID’s President

On 19 August 2021, the Minister for Investment Promotion for the Republic of Togo, Mrs. Kayi Rose MIVEDOR-SAMBIANI, paid a courtesy visit to Dr George Agyekum DONKOR, President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) at the Bank’s Headquarters in Lomé, Togo. The purpose of the visit was to discuss the ways in which EBID could better collaborate with the Government of Togo to identify key initiatives in the private sector for investment and financing to boost its capacity and contribution to the country’s socio-economic development.

This dialogue with the Government of Togo is in line with EBID’s Strategy which aims at increasing investment and financing interventions in the private sector. The Bank’s total interventions in Togo currently stands at FCFA  165 billion for thirty-eight (38) projects within the public and private sectors, with seventeen (17) ongoing projects in the country to the tune of FCFA 101 billion. This makes Togo one of the biggest beneficiaries of EBID’s intervention in the sub-region.
