EBID Director of Risk Management Department, Anthony Ehimare, receives AADFI Gold Award
Dr Anthony EHIMARE, Head of Risk Management Department for EBID, received the Gold Award of the Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI), during their Annual General Assembly on 22 May 2023 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.
He was awarded for his tremendous contribution to the growth of the Association while being a Board Member.
Dr EHIMARE was elected in 2021 as a Representative of Special and Honorary Members and served as a member of the AADFI Strategy Committee. The Association, through this recognition, is acknowledging the impactful inputs the awardee has given for the progress AADFI has recorded in recent times.
As a Representative for Special and Honorary Members, Dr Anthony EHIMARE ensures that all members interests are well represented and taken into consideration in the board and the Association. Dr EHIMARE regularly participates in the AADFI Board Meetings and other AADFI Statutory activities.
AADFI, the umbrella organisation for development finance institutions (DFIs) in Africa, was formed under the aegis of the African Development Bank to drive cooperation for promoting and financing socioeconomic development in Africa as well as encourage economic integration in the continent. The Association currently has a membership of over 80 institutions comprising national, regional, and multilateral African DFIs and from other continents that are engaged in development finance in Africa.
