5th Edition of EBID’s President’s Roundtable : Turning Regional Integration into Action
On June 30, 2026, in Accra, the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) will host the 5th edition of its flagship President’s Roundtable, a high-level dialogue dedicated to shaping the future of regional integration in West Africa.
Held under the theme “Financing Integration in a Fragmenting Region: Making AfCFTA Work for West Africa,” this year’s edition comes at a critical time. While the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) presents unprecedented opportunities to boost intra-African trade and accelerate economic transformation, the region faces growing challenges, ranging from policy fragmentation to persistent infrastructure and financing gaps.
This exclusive, live-broadcast roundtable will bring together top decision-makers and industry leaders, under the leadership of the President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of EBID.
More than just a discussion, the Roundtable is designed as a solution-driven platform. Participants will focus on identifying concrete, financeable cross-border projects capable of delivering measurable impact within the next 12 to 24 months. From strategic transport corridors to digital trade systems and regional value chains, the dialogue will highlight initiatives that can unlock trade, reduce costs, and strengthen economic integration.
The event will also address a key question: how to move from ambition to execution. By exploring innovative financing models, risk-sharing mechanisms, and policy reforms, the Roundtable aims to bridge the gap between vision and delivery.
As the development finance institution of the West African region, EBID stands at the heart of this agenda. Through its leadership and partnerships, the Bank is committed to transforming regional priorities into bankable projects that drive growth and resilience.
Join us live from Accra on June 30, 2026, on Metro TV, DSTV Channel 277, and EBID’s digital platforms, and be part of a pivotal conversation shaping the future of West Africa’s integration.
