The Board of Directors of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) held its 27th session on Friday 18 December 2009 in Accra, at the M-PLAZA Hotel.

A loan agreement relating to the partial financing of the Linguere-Matam road project was signed in Lome on Thursday 24 September 2009 between the EBID, represented by its President, Mr Christian ADOVELANDE, and the Government of Senegal, represented by the Minister of State at Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Mr Abdoulaye Diop.

The Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and the EBID have agreed to increase the capital of the Cultural Industries Guarantee Fund to €1 300 000 and to extend its coverage to the fifteen Member States of the Economic Community of West African States * (ECOWAS), eleven of which are members of OIF.

EBID has granted a loan in an amount of FCFA 2.8 billion to Access Oil. The financial assistance represents 60.42% of the total cost of the project involving the transportation and distribution of petroleum products in Burkina Faso.

The seventh Ordinary Meeting of the Board of Governors of the ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) was held on Tuesday, 30 June 2009 at Hotel Tiama, Abidjan.
