Areas of intervention

As the financial arm of ECOWAS, EBID’s primary mission is to promote economic integration through the financing of programmes and projects of its Member States in line with those of the Community and/or the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD).

It has two windows one of which is dedicated to the promotion of the private sector, whilst the other focuses on the development of the private sector.

The Bank’s interventions cover the following sectors : (i) Agriculture and Rural Development; (ii) Water Supply and Sanitation, (iii) Environment, (iv) Social Sector, (v) Art and Culture, (vi) Urban planning nd Habitat, (vii) Industry, Mining and other Industries, (viii) Transport, (ix) Energy (Production, Transport and Distribution), (x) Finance, (xi) Hotels and Tourism, and (xii) Information and Communication Technologies.
